Artist to Watch: Tei Shi

Hello and welcome to another week of Music Mondays with Josh Isaac. This week I bring to you another playlist, something completely different from last week. Last week I brought to you guys “Shades of Blue” and this week I bring to you “Up All Night” a selection of songs to vibe with your friends to or just party too. From artists like GoldLink to Arca or even Flume to Empress Of, this playlist is one you’ll want to keep saved. I also give you this week’s Artist to Watch! Artist to Watch Tei Shi: Tei Shi is an Argentine singer and songwriter. On her new album Crawl Space, she explores her childhood through a series of songs and home recordings. Together they make up an amazing piece of work that is worth a million words. With a wide vocal range and exquisite lyrics, there’s no reason why Tei Shi shouldn’t be in all of your music libraries! Rainy Day Guide 101

Some of us live for rainy days when we can simply listen to the rain tickling on the roof, curl up in bed with a movie and coffee and enjoy the smell that comes afterward. If this sounds like you, keep reading because I have listed a few of my favorite things to do on a rainy day along with a loooong playlist for you to ENJOY. 1. Have a Netflix marathon! Even though I do this every day despite it’s not raining, rainy days are the perfect excuse to do so. Here are some of my favorite movies/shows to enjoy on a rainy day. One Day & Remember Me – You might need some tissues to accompany you, but both are so beautiful. New Girl, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Friends, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt & Portlandia – Always a go to when you need to have a good laugh. Cupcake Wars – Do I even need to encourage you to watch this? One word: CUPCAKES. However, you will be craving them afterward. Also, Jonathan Bennett is soon to …

Cool for the Summer

Summer is upon us and with it comes a plethora of adventures. Some might take you around the corner from your house or halfway across the country. Though things won’t ever look as good as they do in a Polaroid and your escapades probably won’t lead you meet a celebrity in a rundown coffee shop, you’re sure to have some stories to tell your friends in the fall. Regardless of where you end up, you’ll need some tunes for the ride too. Here’s a playlist of some road-trip ready tunes that you can listen to here! 1. This Summer’s Gonna Hurt Like A MotherF****r – Maroon 5 2. Hollywood – RAC, Penguin Prison 3. Thunder Clatter – Wild Cub 4. Book Club – Arkells 5. 101 – Walla 6. Greek Tragedy – The Wombats 7. Kiss Cam – Arkells 8. Heart Out – The 1975 9. Cardiac Arrest – Bad Suns 10. Crawling Through The Window – Arkells Words by Sarah Sutherland // Photography by Danica Mateo. © 2015 Reef Magazine

Summer Nights Playlist

With school and finals finally over, what a better way to enjoy your free time than to hang by the pool or have a chill kickback with this playlist in the background? This playlist is dedicated to those nights spent with friends, eating Mcdonalds at 3 am, and simply having no need to capture the night with pictures or tweets. I encourage you to capture the night with long lasting memories that you will cherish forever in your heart. Let me know in the comments which song is your favorite!
