Think Healthy, Be Healthy
Begin your day with a positive mindset. Drink a tall glass of warm honey-lemon water to obtain a healthy morning glow and prepare a nutritious breakfast. Thinking positively will increase your mood. You’ll feel more confident if you live healthy, too. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, exercise, get enough sleep, and stay away from cigarettes and alcohol. You’ll feel great and look great!
Dress to Impress
Dress to impress yourself. Whenever I need a confidence boost, I always put on a killer outfit, even if I have no plans to leave the house. There’s something about a great outfit that makes you feel like you can take on the world. Buy clothes that look great on you – different styles look great on different body shapes – and wear your favorite colors and patterns, and your favorite set of jewelry and footwear. Believe me, it’s worth it! The important thing to remember is that you’re dressing for yourself, not others.
I give compliments left and right because lifting someone else’s confidence boosts my own too! Compliment your barista on her outfit or your best friend on her new hairstyle. Remind your mom that she’s a fantastic cook.
Practice Good Posture
Whether you’re walking or sitting, having exemplary posture can instantly boost your sense of confidence. Next time you catch yourself slouching in your chair or walking with your head parallel to the floor, sit up straight and hold your head high; you are beautiful and correcting your posture will make you feel like it!
It’s time to start loving yourself. It won’t always be an easy journey and some days will be harder than others, but I believe in you. You’re beautiful.
